Accommodation
All rooms are air conditioned with terrace, bathroom with
separate bath and shower, Television with satellite channels, tea &
coffee making facilities, mini bar, hairdryer and safe.
Standard Rooms are ideal for families. Bathed in light and
warmth, with fragrant frangipani flowers delicately disposed here and
there and ceiling fans with large blades of marine wood, the
guest-rooms and their terraces are an invitation to lazing about and
day-dreaming.
Superior Rooms are grouped in small villages immediately
fronting the Indian Ocean. Each can accommodate a family of four
(provided the two children are under twelve years of age) thanks to a
sofa-bed or two convertible armchairs.
Royal Suites are located in the northern part of the resort;
the two Royal Suites, Bougainvillea and flamboyant, each occupy a
larger cottage. At once very private, with their own private garden,
and close to the heart of the resort, they open onto the palm-grove
and the sea. Superbly appointed in the refined and elegant Asian style
furniture, they are particularly bright and pleasing, with a large
bedroom and separate lounge and dining-room. The terrace offers a
privileged upfront view of the magnificent beach and crystal-clear
sea.
Restaurants and Bars
The main restaurant, Thatches Spacious and tropical, the main
restaurant, on the terrace, is open daily for buffet breakfast.
Dinnertime, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., showcases demonstrative
World Cuisine for a totally new and exciting dining experience. The
new buffet features several themed live cooking stations with food
prepared fresh in front of the guests: a Chinese fresh-noodle and
stir-fry station; a curry station with traditional Mauritian
‘case-créole’ cuisine, a tandoor (Indian clay oven) and colourful
Indian dishes; a huge salad station; a pasta station; a pizza station
with its wood-fired oven; a grill and a dessert counter with a daily
hot dessert prepared live and even a Kids’ Ice-Cream Bar. For the more
romantic, the restaurant also features cosy thatched dining pavilion
around a striking decorative and reflective pond.
Paul et Virginie
By the beach, with romantic thatched dining pavilions
overhanging Le Morne mountain across the sea, the rustic charm of the
à-la carte Paul & Virginie restaurant favours warmth and intimacy. At
lunchtime it proposes a selection of popular island cuisine,
wood-fired pizzas, grilled, smoked or steamed fish, tossed salads and
sandwiches.
La Badiane
Adjacent to the main restaurant, the alfresco ‘La Badiane’
is enriched by a spice garden whose scent and sweet perfume is a
complete invigorating experience for the guests. La Badiane offers an
authentic Mauritian dining experience.
Citronella’s Café
Oceanside Italian market-place restaurant offering light
meals baked wood-fired Pizza and salads at lunch time. Regional
authentic Italian cuisine at dinner.
Blue Bar
The bar offers a wide choice of contemporary tropical
cocktails and rums and an important selection of beverages,
liqueurs, beers and spirits of international brands, as well as
delicious espressos.
Beach Bar
Overlooking the Indian Ocean, near the nautical club, the
bar opens at 10 a.m. daily and closes at midnight every day. In a
relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular sea view, it offers fresh fruit
juices, vegetable juices, milk-shakes and other beverages as well as a
superb selection of espressos. Food consists of light snacks:
Mauritian snacks, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and exotic ice-cream at
lunchtime as well as pastries and pancakes for five o’clock tea.
The Coco Kiosk Bar
The ‘Coco Kiosk’ bar is adjacent to the pool and offers a
wide variety of coladas served in fresh coconuts with different style
presentation as well as health line cocktails and tropical fruits.
Spa
Aura Spa
Pamper yourself with a host of beauty and body treatments
provided by our team of professional Spa therapists. The Spa
comprises both single and couples treatment rooms and also has
a dedicated Shiatsu treatment area. For the ultimate therapy try the
deluxe Hammam treatments including an exotic black soap massage. A
fully equipped hairdressing salon for men and women is also located in
the Spa area.
Entertainment
Dancing to the music of the resort’s resident band every night
and themed shows several nights a week.
