Standard
Rooms
have a warm and rich feel with striking décor and bright green
touches. Twin or double beds are available and facilities include a
furnished balcony or terrace with ocean views, air-conditioning,
ceiling fan, bathroom with bath and shower, dressing room, telephone,
TV, mini-bar, in-room safe, hairdryer and tea & coffee making
facilities.
Superior
Rooms
are bright and attractively decorated with clean, contemporary lines
and touches of red-orange. They are more spacious than a standard
room. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower, twin glass basins
and the toilet is behind a separate door.
Deluxe Rooms
are spacious and are decorated in the same clean contemporary style as
the other rooms, but with touches of fuchsia for a dramatic effect.
The bathroom is bright and luxurious with twin porcelain hand basins
on a taupe marble stand and sintered-glass tiling from Italy in the
shower. The bath is set in its own alcove and it is surrounded by
marble.
Restaurants & Bars
Main Restaurant
Modern elegance greets guests, with gobos casting beams of light on
the pure, contemporary lines of the interior, where shades of orange
merge into rounded lines and cubic shapes. The main restaurant is
divided into three and based on the exciting concept of open kitchens,
which adds a touch of theatre to the range of international cuisine.
For the first part of the day, Tamassa
specialises
in lavish buffet breakfasts and lunches. Dinner is either à la carte
or a sumptuous buffet.
Beach Restaurant
As the name would suggest, the Beach Restaurant and bar is a place to
relax, with your feet in the sand, watching the sea, having a hearty
salad lunch or enjoying latin cuisine. The
dinner menu varies from themed evenings to buffets and to à la carte.
Lounge Bar
The main
bar is split-level and surrounded by large, comfortable armchairs.
Mauritius produces some excellent rum and Mauritians are very
inventive with their cocktails, but guests can also choose from a wide
variety of international wines, beers, spirits and liqueurs.
Spa
Embracing the concept of The Tamassa Hotel,
SENSES
is based on an integration of Mauritian Island ambiance and
contemporary style. Offering treatments and rituals based on
indigenous flowers, fruits and vegetables; stimulation of the senses.
There are armchairs and shell-shaped sofas for relaxing both in the
garden and around the pool. A wide range of treatments and massages
are available and our highly trained therapists are at the disposal of
guests. Parents may spa together, whilst their children are safely
enjoying themselves in the Kids Club; ‘Tilapia’.
